Curry, Thompson lead Warriors to Game 4 win

The Golden State Warriors were hot from beyond the arc as they nailed 17 3-pointers in Game 4 on the Finals. They also got a solid contribution from Klay Thompson, who scored 25 points on 7-for-14 shooting. No team ever has rallied from 3-1 down in the Finals.

“We answered the bell”, Curry said. The Larry O’Brien Trophy will be flying cross-country to Oakland on Saturday, and Golden State will have a chance to mussy it up with joyous fingerprints and champagne baths on Monday night. Curry was mostly focused on finally starting strong in a postseason during which he has struggled to get going. It was Curry’s first 20-point game of this series. James was dominant, posting 32 points, 6 assists, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the win.

The Cavs led much of the night but couldn’t counter the in-form Dubs, and now face the daunting prospect of winning three straight games against historically great Golden State.

Curry and Thompson strung together their best joint performance of this series and the Cavs countered by dribbling their way to the brink of extinction.

Cleveland wouldn’t immediately go away.

Irving added a hoop and, after a fan ran onto the court and was taken off by security, James sank a free throw to pull the Cavs within 96-89. Unfortunately, you’ll need to authenticate with a cable provider if you want to watch the game on Watch ESPN, so get your (or your friend’s/parent’s!) login credentials ready.

Shortly after, James and Draymond Green got into a pushing, jawing incident that did not escalate – or draw technicals. “But when it gets a little bit more than what it should be, that’s what caused me to have words with him”.

“Being a guy with pride, a guy with three kids and a family, things of that nature, some things were overboard”.

So, entering Game 4 on Friday night, of course everyone has been wondering whether or not Love will be available to contribute once again.

James added 25 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, but the superstar also had seven turnovers and was too passive at times.

Love missed Game 3 with a concussion and was cleared to play not long before tipoff.

Sports hits the streets of downtown Cleveland to get a sense of how optimistic Cavs fans are. Green blocked James’ shot down low and Thompson blocked Irving’s fastbreak attempt on the next possession during a key sequence.

But the story of the game was Golden State’s offense.

“Well, (Curry) hit an incredibly tough baseline shot right in front of our bench that was, I don’t know many people on the planet who could make that shot”, said Warriors coach Steve Kerr. When we get open shots, we’ve got to take advantage of open shots.

Curry and Thompson were examined pregame under every microscope, from every angle.

“The Warriors are really the toughest team to go against when you’re up”, James said. “There were a lot of them”. He had an anti-Donald Trump message written on his chest.

“I think for me to go out and be who I am and play as true to the game and as hard as I can and try to lead this team, that’s who I am”, James said.
