Cleveland parties as Cavs’ NBA title celebrated with parade

“I love my teammates”, James told, moments before he boarded a float at The Q for the Cavs’ championship parade through downtown Cleveland. “There are some technicalities to take care of I’ll leave up to my agent. That’s right from the horse’s mouth”. That being said, he can opt out of his current deal on June 29, which he will likely do, but he’ll only do it to boost his salary from about $24 million to approximately $30 million, based on next season’s projected salary cap.

“I’m nothing without y’all”, James said.

When James returned to Miami to play in the NBA’s marquee Christmas Day match-up during the 2014-15 season, Riley sat in his chair and did not applaud during the Heat’s tribute video to James. More than 20,000 fans greeted the team.

The last time the city of Cleveland won a major sports title was when the Cleveland Browns football team won the Super Bowl in 1964.

“We are prepared for any eventuality”, James Hardy, Akron’s chief of staff, said Wednesday afternoon, adding that the city has a contingency plan if the crowd is larger than expected.

Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, centre, rides in the back of a Rolls Royce as it makes its way through the parade route in downtown Cleveland. Of course, the Cavaliers lost that series, and James refused to talk anymore about the subject. As Bleacher Report notes, the Lakers had a disappointing season, ending it 17-65. They put together the most dominant regular season in National Basketball Association history, winning 73 out of a possible 82 games.

During one of his post-game interviews, after winning arguably one the most important games of his life, LeBron James talked about how he and the Cavaliers were able to come back after being down 3-1 in the series when everyone had practically written them off.

James surely still has plenty of motivation to win another title, but at the very least, he seems vindicated for his stunning move to return to the Cavs.

Prior to sweeping Pistons, LeBron James played Detroit’s own Eminem pregame. It had the biggest names, MVP’s and a whole bunch of trash talking. Basically, he felt taken for granted.

“I’m nothing without you all”. “You all saw what this guy is capable of doing”.
