UC San Francisco’s School of Medicine ranked in the top five nationally in this year’s U.S. News & World Report survey of best graduate schools.
TheUF College of Nursing’s doctor of nursing practice program also maintained its standing as one of the highest-ranked programs, ranking No. 44 in the country, and tied with Florida Atlantic University for tops in the state of Florida.
This year, U.S. News also ranked graduate programs in the social sciences and humanities. For the specific ranking of graduate education programs, 379 schools granting doctoral degrees were surveyed. This put Cornell among the top 15 most diverse law schools in the country. UM’s industrial/manufacturing specialty came in at no. 2 in the ranking. “Since 1976, La Salle University’s School of Business has offered an MBA to working adults throughout the region, and it has continuously adapted its curriculum and course delivery to prepare students for the ever-changing business landscape”.
Since then, the school has shown it can compete with the big university law schools.
Business: 34th for top MBA program; 33rd for part-time MBA program. “Our graduate education programs help to advance our research and scholarly excellence, and these latest rankings reflect the impact of our programs at a national level”.
The IU Maurer School of Law in Bloomington ranks 30th overall.
The UW’s medical school has dominated the rankings in primary care medicine for more than 20 years. The new edition features information and rankings across six disciplines – business, law, engineering, education, medicine and nursing.
According to the newly released 2018 U.S. News rankings, The Walter Scott College of Engineering conducted externally-funded research amounting to $70.3 million in 2016; this equals research expenditures of just over $650,000 per faculty member.
UM also tied with Pittsburgh-based Carnegie Mellon University for having the nation’s fifth-best graduate engineering program.
“These rankings are a testament to the commitment and dedication of our faculty and staff who provide students with outstanding academic programs”, said Larry Dennis, dean of the FSU College of Communication & Information. George Mason University’s business school was on the list but not ranked. N.C. Central University’s law school continued without a published ranking for at least its third year in a row.
