Ed Sheeran to guest star on GoT!

The “Game of Thrones” cast and crew brought ice and fire to South by Southwest on Sunday afternoon. “And this year we finally did it”.

Game Of Thrones has had its fair share of famous guest stars, but the latest cameo comes from one of the music industry’s hottest artists.

Previously, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said a prequel series would be more likely than a sequel. And Gendry has been rowing for a good three seasons now – u ok hun?

Since the second to last season will premiere in July, the big question of everyone’s minds is will there be a spinoff – and if so, when? Winter is coming, after all. The new season is going to be shorter than previous seasons with seven episodes, compared to the others with 10.

In 2015, the 26-year-old appeared in Kurt Sutter’s (Sons of Anarchy) medieval drama series The Bastard Executioner, which was axed by network FX after just one season.

Moderated by Game of Thrones stars Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, the discussion didn’t reveal any major plot points or character beats of season 7, but with only a handful of episodes left until the end of the series, we still learned plenty from it.

Sheeran, whose Shape of You has ruled the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for six weeks, will embark on his North American tour June 29 in Kansas City, Mo. Black Sails actor Tom Hopper has reportedly replaced him in the part. For instance, who exactly will the surviving characters be? Will he die? That remains to be seen. HBO hasn’t indicated when that final season will begin shooting or when it might debut (though it presumably will come out in 2018).

The topic of the conversation eventually turned to how “Game of Thrones” has affected TV portrayals of women.

But, they didn’t stop there as they commented on thoughts of a new show. I’m not going to do it just to do it.

Speaking in Austin, Texas, Beinoff and Weiss added that not only will it run for six-episodes but they’ll also be splitting writing duties with two other writers. I told you guys it would be OK, but I had no idea. I think it’ll be great, but I think it’s important to get new blood in.
