How NJ colleges fared in US News latest graduate school rankings

The small Texas A&M University School of Law in downtown Fort Worth is making big waves. “IU students and our alumni regularly tell they us they are extremely pleased by the quality of the education we provide, which underscores that IU is one of America’s great teaching and research universities”. Tuesday’s ranking placed it 39th, down one slot from a year ago and five slots from 2015. Four individual programs at the Beasley School of Law were ranked in the top 15.

The IU Maurer School of Law in Bloomington ranks 30th overall.

Among business-school specialty programs, Seattle University’s accounting program ranked 14th, and its executive MBA program ranked 12th.

Additionally, the Graduate Tax Program held its spot as the No. 1 program among public law schools, and No. 3 overall.

U.S. News & World Report listed the school as unranked because of the error, which Livingstone said “in no way diminishes the excellence of our programs, the quality of our faculty or the success of our students”. UCLA’s graduate programs in English, math, sociology and history ranked in the top 10 of their respective categories.

The research track also looked at research activity. Employment outcomes have also improved, he added.

Along with being a recognized leader in medical research, the school is committed to serving underserved communities and advancing rural health.

At No. 4 in the nation, biological/agricultural engineering jumped two spots from last year’s ranking. Another hallmark here at CWRU is our interprofessional educational programs, in which medical, dental, nursing and social work students learn together and from each other.

Finally, among education graduate programs, Rutgers-New Brunswick tied for No. 52, while Montclair State University is tied for No. 93. That phenomenon was chronicled in a book published last spring by a pair of sociologists who spent years studying the impact of the rankings on law schools.

In addition to the Doctor of Nursing Practice ranking, the Master of Science in Nursing graduate degree program received a notable placement on the list as well.

Audrey Breen, communications officer for the Curry School, said she believes the rankings reflect the efforts of students and faculty. Data from peer assessment in other areas is collected on a rotating basis.

In the engineering specialty rankings, Baylor’s graduate electrical engineering program was ranked at No. 124, while the graduate program in mechanical engineering also was included in the latest rankings but without a numerical rank.

As is their habit, Allen Building officials low-keyed their response, highlighting the ranking via a short new release that omitted any quoted reaction from administrators. “As a outcome, our reputation among other law schools likely suffered”. Both programs are based in the College of Arts and Sciences. The ranking was the first update for this category since 2013. UF remained the highest-ranking medical school in Florida.

The IU School of Education ranks 32nd.
