Rain moves in Saturday night; Sunday likely wet too

Sunday begins with cloudy skies and scattered light showers.

Saturday night will be a wet one for the metro Atlanta area.

As the front moves into the Piedmont, we will see an increasing chance for thunderstorms. It’s still going to feel pretty nice with highs back in the upper 50s. Cloudy, with a high near 47.

Northeast Kansas is waking up to light to moderate rain showers this morning.

Sunday night: Showers likely. This system looks to leave a boundary stalled across the state through Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures aren’t expected to get out of the mid-40s.

We have a cold front that will approach late Saturday into early Sunday from the west. More rain is expected for Tuesday, but dry weather and above temperatures return for the middle of the week. “We’re definitely headed in a warmer direction over the next several weeks”. Far Eastern Connecticut is now considered abnormally dry, which is an improvement over the moderate drought that part of the state was recently under.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures continue for Thursday, with a high temperature of 67 degrees, and the chance for scattered rain showers.

We’ll enjoy a break between systems.
