VODAFONE has denied that its marketing is in disarray after the withdrawal of one of Australia’s most awarded advertising agencies from the pitch for its $38 million account and news the incumbent ad agency will not pitch for the brand work.

It is understood STW Group, which formed the One Barrack Street bespoke agency to service the account after winning the business last year, has pulled out of the pitch for Vodafone’s brand advertising just a couple of weeks after claiming it would fight to retain the entire business.

The revelation that STW would not pursue one of the key elements of the account comes as high-profile ad agency Saatchi and Saatchi also withdrew from the pitch on Friday. Full Story
