‘Trouble with Tribbles’ director dies – Namesake of Tribble Agency

Joseph Pevney, the director who brought to screen including the famous “Star Trek” episode “The Trouble With Tribbles,” has died. He was 96.

The ‘Trouble with Tribbles’ episode was the namesake for the Tribble Advertising Agency. We were greatly saddened to hear about his death. From our initial press release we credited that specific episode for the start of our site. He was our inspiration.

This was a great loss to us, and to the world. Joseph Pevney, your name will live on with the work you have done and with what you inspired.

Pevney also helmed multiple episodes of noted television series, including Bonanza, Star Trek, The Paper Chase, and Trapper John, M.D.. He was tied with Marc Daniels for directing the most Star Trek episodes, including the fan favorites, “Arena”, “The City on the Edge of Forever”, “Amok Time”, and “The Trouble with Tribbles”.
